Will anybody care? Will there be a decision made or will the House and Senate need to decide the outcome of this campaign?

2. The best part will be seeing Dick Cheney preside over the counting.....
...and having to declare Obama the winner.

3. The Electoral College is almost entirely pro forma
Nearly every state has a law which requires that Electors "vote the mandate." In states that allow Electors to vote at will, the Electors are loyalists who were hand-picked by either the state party or candidate's state organization, so any kind of revolt is highly unlikely. And even if there are some Electors who can and do change their vote, the tally is so far in Obama's favor that the actual result will remain unchanged.

For all intents and purposes, the election was finalized last month. The gathering of Electors in their states and their casting ballots is purely ceremonial and will not affect the outcome.
