I didn't like Russert but I watched for the guests (at least as long as I could stand it). I don't like Bill Maher either but I watch his show for the guests too. If Gregory really, really sucks then I will turn it off. Just like I've turned off Maher when he lets one of his guests take over the show and makes it a waste of my time.

Russert was OK, but I thought he ventured well into the usual claptrap that people like Brokaw and Gregory would go... Russert was no angel (I wish him well however)...

So Gregory gets the gig... I'll watch, but with the same view that they must serve their corporate masters on some level and never really ask questions considered "inappropriate". You'll never hear questions or concerns that would make General Electric or Microsoft look bad... count on it.
