4. I'd much rather see Durbin, Schumer, or someone with a strong
personality like them. I don't dislike Harry, but he's just too easy going to be able to heard a bunch of hard headed people like the Senators.

14. Two words: Michael MuKrazy
No Schumer. That would be WORSE than Spineless Reid.

Bring on Russ Feingold or Barbara Boxer.

6. Reid needs to go
At this point just about any other Democratic Senator will do. Just make it someone who isn't spineless and feckless.

Regards

7. I always felt quite tepid about this until I saw him last night, and now I've had enough
he was almost blubbering and thanking "aides from both sides" and the Capitol police for being patient.

That's fine, he was being polite.

But where was the outrage and the denounciation.....I'm tired of him. His "tempered manner" or whatver people like to tout as his greatest attribute is over and tired.

I got a feeling last night watching that he knows the end is near for him. It was like watching a little kid who just got in trouble!!!!!!!!!!!

13. He will remain majority leader unless he loses the confidence of other Senators.
Reid is also up for re-election in 2010.

15. Any ideas on who we could replace him with.... Russ Fiengold?
.
.

Would he want it?

If not... any other ideas?

I do agree that at the start of the new administration, we should shake things up and let a new Majority leader step in... and should consider having Pelosi step down if possible?

16. Of course not. He should have been gone (with Pelosi) a LONG time ago.
