Have any of you played the patriotism card on your RW acquaintances since the election?

By which I mean, attacking their patriotism and love of country if they do not fully support the new president AND his policies.

"If you do not support President Obama, you hate American and are playing into the hands of Al Qaeda. Patriotism means supporting the president, because the country is the leader and the leader is the country."

"If you don't like the way President Obama is running this country then you should just go back to your cave in Afghanistan and shut up."

Is that what I really believe? Of course not! But I intend to smear it in their faces for the next four (hopefully eight) years. I want them to know how WE felt, having to constantly prove our patriotism.

1. Not as gratifying because the patriotism card stopped working years ago

When the vast majority of the country started to disapprove of the job Bush was doing it basically meant that calling the dissenters unpatriotic was no longer a winning strategy.

If Kerry had won in 2004 I would've done it all of the time, though.
