PE Obama is inheriting a major disaster from the Bush administration.
I did expect something like this to happen but not this soon and not this rapid. I have often discussed with my wife and friends the possibility of a Roman/British empire-style collapse of American political and economic influence and dominance but I had envisioned it at least a few decades away. Well, thanks to Bush and his incompetent wasteful administration, it looks like it is on our doorstep and we will need to deal with it now. However, I am heartened by the fact that Barack Obama will be our new President in a few weeks. There are no magic bullets but I do believe that PE Obama and his administration will have some fresh innovative ideas to help us get through this crisis. I do remain hopeful.

1. I do too. That's why I'm not going to quibble over little things

because there are so many major issues facing this country. I wish he didn't inherit such a mess but I think he's going to do his best to pull us out of it.

5. I hope I am over-reacting but it does look like we are headed for a major economic collapse...
with massive business failures and unemployment. This was probably inevitable and perhaps a necessary step. It will be painful but perhaps once we get through it, we will reemerge a better and more stable society.

2. I am sure that this has been planned for a long itme. It was all set to go as
soon as the election was over. In fact, it would not surprise me if it was set in motion even earlier because they were so sure that McSame/Barracuda would lose.

One article called it landmines and timebombs that BushCo set for Obama. There is no doubt in my mind that this was all part of the plan.

3. If it's all gotta fall down (and I think it does--the foundation is rotten),
then it's best that it do so now rather than in a few months, so that it's clearly associated with the Old Guard. And I never imagined a Bad One was still decades away. I've been expecting something like this for several years now.

4. I think the administration knew this was coming
I even have little doubt that they orchestrated it because they wanted to collapse our country (read the neocons stated goals), but I bet they didnt want it to happen until next year so the next administration (and the Democratic party) got the blame.

6. I think you are right and the way the MSM is spinning the truth
by next year they WILL be blaming the democrats. This horrible situation runs really deep.
