8. It's odd when all eyes are on your city/state.
Illinois, especially Chicago, is probably more used to the attention than Alaska is, but still it can't be comfortable for you. At least, you'll probably be rid of your embarrassment soon - we're stuck with Sarah for another two years. Alaskans seem to have a certain tolerance for corruption, so I don't imagine she'll be impeached or recalled before 2010. It'll be interesting to see how far she tries to push her luck.
