They want Blago to stay in office to keep this controversy going as long as possible.

"We all feel a great deal of certainty that the media is in the tank for Obama and will go to great lengths to protect him. The scandal currently surrounding Governor Blagojevich is a perfect example of a story that is not being fully reported. I normally do not use vanity posts to get a message out but I think today is a very crucial day in determining how the Blagojevich scandal plays out. If Blagojevich stays in office it forces Lisa Madigan to take her best shot at removing Blago. This will be a very messy process and provides an opportunity for the best possible outcome for those of us who want to expose President Elect Obama as a fraud.
"
Please click on the link below to contact the office of the Illinois Governor and offer him your support. I have called twice this morning. In one call I emphasized that Governor Blagojevich is innocent until proven guilty. In my other call I went all conspiracy theory on the receptionist telling her that this whole thing smelled like a set up by the Governor's enemies.

SNIP

"Let Blago know we think he is innocent until proven guilty."

11. I'd have thought this would fall into that category
A Democratic (sorry, Democrat) governor turning out to be a complete crook? I'll bet Fox News and Rush are all over it.

9. "Not being fully reported" is Freeper for
"Not saying what we want to hear." Just like "How much do we really know about him?" means "We know plenty, but not enough of it is bad."

10. I don't want him to resign.

I want the Democrats in my state to finally once and for all do their damned jobs.

Impeach the sonofabitch!

Instead, they are doing everything they can to pass the buck. First, seeing the writing on the wall, they tried amending the state constitution to permit a recall which would put the onus back on the people. Then they called for Gov Whackjob to resign. Now they are waiting to see if the State Supreme Court will do their job for them. But we all know exactly what the IL SC will say:

"The Constitution of the State of Illinois provides procedures for addressing this situation. The Illinois House of Representatives has the power to Impeach the Governor following which the Illinois Senate has the power to remove the Governor from office."

Suck it up, Reps. The buck is coming back your way.
