1. One of the few whom I liked at the Times.
Excellent catch for the Obama-Biden administration.

3. Boooo
I didnt like Carney really during the campaign. Always yelled at him while watching either Gregory's nonsense or Scarborough's nonsense.

4. That's too bad............not happy.........
as he tends to be one of the few fair old school journalists and I like when he sits on panels and lends his sanity.....

But that's cool for Biden. I'm sure he will serve him well.

5. I always thought he was a conservative journalist
He is a very good communicator si this is a good move for Biden. I hope they find a place for Linda Douglas in this administration.

6. He was Time's Washington Bureau chief when Matthew Cooper

was one of the people who Rove spoke to about Valerie Plame.

He was one of the many people, including Russert and Mathews who knew more of the truth than they were willing to say before the 2004 election. Had they spoken out that the Bush administration was lying in saying that they were not involved, the close race could have gone the other way.

8. Wow. I met him in 2007 at the YearlyKos blogger convention.
I told him his magazine needed to get rid of Bill Kristol. He basically agreed with me but said that was above his pay grade and not his decision. I said they needed to look for a conservative with some credibility. His answer: well, there really aren't any at this point.

LOL.

9. Great news! I saw him a few times on JoeScar. Carney is...
level-headed, and undermines JoeScar's breathless blusters with calm, reasoned arguments and statements of fact.
