2. Too low. It only goes to show the double-standards of society.
Replace what Warren said about Gays and Atheists, with Jews or blacks, and Obama's approval would already be in the single digits, and people calling for his resignation.

3. Pitting Gays and Athiests against Jews and Blacks, not the best idea.
While I appreciate the point I think you're trying to make, all four groups need to be respected and defended and this sort of "what if" comparison can actually cause division, put the latter two groups on the defensive when in fact all have to defend one another.

Just sayin'.

5. It's not "vitriol" but righteous indignation

11. Then, using your logic
If you can't deal with Obama choosing Warren, that's too "fraking" bad?

There are better ways to make your point....

7. Same-ol same-ol
Since when hasn't there been constant vitriol on the D.U.?
Hell, the site would lose most of it character without the constant outrage.

8. I'd say too low.
Those who are outraged by the Warren selection have every justification for being angry beyond words. I guess that's vitriol.

Those, who despite all the evidence of Warren's bigotry, his belief that we should be ruled by religious law instead of secular law, his opposition to women's rights, his opposition to sensible and necessary medical research and his anti-choice stance, believe that having him open the most significant event in the history of American civil rights is just fine and must be a brilliant decision because Obama is so wise and wonderful are not nearly vitriolic enough.

This should be cause for demonstrations and marches.

9. I take it I missed something?
This vitriol (at least, what I've seen) is kind of tame for a person who winks at murder.
