2. The Nixon pardon finished Ford off in '76...
I cannot see Obama risking 2012 by pardoning Bush.

4. They drew up impeachment charges on Nixon before he quit
Bush has escaped such charges. Why pardon someone who has yet to be charged with a crime?

5. I think it's cute that you think that any charges will be brought against Bush.
I will HAPPILY eat crow if I am wrong about this,
but NOTHING will happen to the War Criminal.

8. why would he?
First of all, Obama is a democrat, Bush is a republican. He has no reason to give him anything.

With Ford, he had a reason to pardon Nixon. Not only were they both republicans, but Ford was also on Nixon's team.....he wanted to end the Watergate investigation. And pardoning Nixon was the best way to do that.

Obama has already said he's going to look at Bush's rulings and reverse those he considers unconstitutional. And as a constitutional scholar, I believe he knows what he's talking about.

10. Sooner or later we're going to get fed the line that not pursing charges
is for the "good of the country" and for the sake of "moving forward". I hope I'm wrong about that. Because if Obama does let Bush get away with his crimes sooner or later Bushco and their allies will be back to do more damage.

(Just think, if FDR hadn't thought it would be best for the country, Prescott Bush might have been prosecuted for treason and the whole BFEE might have faded away. It's amazing on how these decisions presidents have made not to prosecute criminals "for the greater good" have come back to bite us all in the butt.)

11. Pardons Bush for what?
Has Bush been convicted or charged with any crimes yet? Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.
