I'm just saying, it has to occur to you that something this big that happened at 8:00 am must have been noticed by at least a couple thousand DUers. Just locate one of the umpteen threads and give it a kick start. It's better than clogging up the board with yet another round of identical threads. Seems like a group of 'me for every time zone!

Nice try, but you completely miss the point. This happened at 8:00 am. You don't have to have a life that revolves around anything to use a little common sense. If you're a regular poster here, which I know you are, then you KNOW how this place works...the split second Zbig laid the smackdown, the regular Morning Joe watchers posted about it. Within an hour, someone posts a video link. Forever, always the same. Have you EVER heard of a story like this which NO ONE on DU has heard about half a day later?

I was watching it as it happened, but didn't have access to the computer for another half-an-hour -- even by that point, I realized there was no point in signing on to post a thread about it, because obviously someone would have already done so. If I had logged on and found not a single thread about it, I would have started one, but I didn't have to worry about it. Sure enough, nearly a dozen were already up. There are a few on this page still. Will Pitt just posted another.

I'm not talking about where your life revolves. I'm just talking about using your head, and understanding the way this board works. When news breaks, a DUers somewhere is right there ready to post about it. How you regular DU poster not suspect that this would have been posted at least a dozen times within minutes of it happening?
