Obama wants something ready to sign when he takes over. There will be a lot of close votes in the Senate, picking off a few pugs to try to reach cloture.

And our Party leaders' big project of the moment is scheming how to insure that there will be one less Democratic vote in the Senate during that fight.

Whatever. Dumb doesn't begin to cover it.

Remember that the new Congress starts next week, not on inauguration day. (I assume Hillary and Salazar will be there for key votes during January.)

1. The narrative should be
that they care more about their own political power than about the needs of the country. Their obstructionism should be painted as unpatriotic.

3. In seven days the battle for the future of the American family begins
With one side trying to save American jobs, homes, health care and future. The other side battles to preserve the option of doing nothing while Americans suffer.

Block this stimulus at your peril Republicans. The eyes of an America weary of always being last in line to get any kind of relief will be upon you.

4. Republicans will attempt to block EVERYTHING President Obama tries to implement.
Anybody who thinks or predicts otherwise is like the bird riding the crocodile.
