Schumer: Franken is the winner
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the outgoing chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, declared Sunday that Al Franken has won the Minnesota Senate recount against Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.).

“With the Minnesota recount complete, it is now clear that Al Franken won the election. The Canvassing Board will meet tomorrow to wrap up its work and certify him the winner, and while there are still possible legal issues that will run their course, there is no longer any doubt who will be the next Senator from Minnesota,” Schumer said in a statement.

9. What is this bs. Shumer-the-bastard says "it is now clear" what does that mean
It is either official or not. Anyone can say "it is now clear". He is a piece of dog dung (read Mulkasey).
With Senators like Schumer and DiFi on "our side" we are screwed. They won't bust up any repub filibusters.

12. sorry, I got carried away. First, I don't like Schumer. could you tell.
Second, people were reacting like he actually said something. Rhetoric.
Third, I don't like Schumer-the-Dino.
sorry, I am starting to repeat myself.
From 2000 until 2006 we blamed the republican majority in Congress
from 2006 until today we blame the President's veto power.
Now the Democrats in Congress have no more excuses.

MN board to certify Franken's win in tight senate race

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) – A state election board on Monday will announce Democrat Al Franken as the winner of the Minnesota Senate race, defeating Republican incumbant Norm Coleman, state officials told CNN Sunday.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie told CNN the canvassing board on Monday will confirm that Franken won the race by a 225-vote margin.

Deputy Secretary of State Jim Gelbmann oversaw the tallying of roughly 950 improperly rejected absentee ballots Saturday, which was the last remaining
hurdle in the canvassing board's procedure. He said no outstanding challenges
remain and that the only thing left for the board to do Monday is certify the
numbers. Their meeting will convene at 2:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. ET).
