How much longer before Gov. Paterson appoints someone to NY's soon-to-be-open Senate seat?
It seems like this has been dragging on for an eternity.

1. yea, the way everything is being held up between Franken, Burris and
whoever gets seated in NY, it is like a circus.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually, I think that NY has two Senators at this time. I don't think Hillary has resigned yet.

11. If Salazar hasn't resigned yet the governor can't appoint his replacement.
If he hasn't resigned then it just means that the Governor has determined who he WILL appoint when he does resign.

8. Actually he can wait until it's really vacant. He doesn't have to appoint anybody until Hillary
officially resigns and is no longer a senator.
