5. I lost it when PRESIDENT OBAMA was sworn in. I didn't know I had that much emotion pent up.
I cried like a man. I was composed during his speech, but lost it again when he daughter said that.

6. did you catch Obama saying, "This is for you" to his daughters as he
stood up to take the oath? I'm surprised they haven't mentioned it in the coverage.... at least I haven't heard it.

That just stole my heart... I didn't hear the comment from (Malia or Sasha?) his daughter - but I'm so happy both comments are on tape. : )

8. He said that in reference to the step stool that was put in
place for the girls to stand on.

I too thought Malia gave her dad a 'great speech dad'.

13. I get the impression that he solicits & really listens to her opinions
She not an advisor, of course (neither was Amy Carter), but he treats her with respect and really encourages her to think critically and voice her opinion. That's a sign of a good father: a confident child.
