Are we getting a re-classification of GD and GDP sometime soon? It seems like the same topics are posted in both. And I don't know why stories on the NY Senate seat are mostly posted in GDP.

1. The "P" part has been rendered moot. Maybe "P" should become "C" for congressional.

3. I think that would be a good idea
We have a Democratic President and that is going to generate it's own list of posts germane to Pres. Obama.

I think we need a forum for Congress and one for general politics. That seems like a great way to organize the forums and keep topics clear.

5. The 2010 election has already begun.
I would love to track the acquisition of a deeper blue majority!

7. I can see overlap on issues between Congress and the President
but there are some issues where it's strictly about the President, or where it's totally not about the President (e.g., NY Senate seat)

2. I disagree. I think of GD-P as what it was before the election, GD-Politics.
We just havent changed the name

There was GD - Politics ...

Before that, there was only GD ....

I believe the intent of DU administrators is to revert to GD - Politics at the end of the username amnesty period ...

6. It was GD; Politics then became GD: Primaries, then after the
Convention GD: Presidential. Now it can just go back to Politics, but there have already been calls for a board for the President.
