Ill House votes to bar Blago from ever holding public office in the state.

Is that state office or also federal office? I actually predicted he would run for his old US House seat in the future. I wonder if the state can prevent someone from running for federal office.

1. Can they do that? Even for state office?
I gotta believe the constitutionality of that action is less than certain. The man has not been convicted of any crime, he was (as I see it) removed from his position for doing a crappy job.
