Obama to Emanuel to Kaine = Tinker to Evers to Chance
For those of you not up on your baseball lore - the poem Tinker to Evers to Chance was written by Franklin Pierce a writer for the New York Times regarding the double-play combination of Chicago Cubs shortstop Joe Tinker, second baseman Johnny Evers, and first baseman Frank Chance.

"These are the saddest of possible words ... Tinker to Evers to Chance ... A trio of bear Cubs and fleeter than birds ... Tinker to Evers to Chance ... Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble ... Making a Giant hit into a double ... Words that are weighty with nothing but trouble ... Tinker to Evers to Chance."

I thought of this as I read the Governor Kaine's smackdown of Messers Steele and Limbaugh. Poor Republicans - playing t-ball when the President and his adminstration have already put several into the upper deck.

Well done gentlemen, well done.

PS - Yes, I know President Obama is a White Sox fan but the analogy still holds.
