I predict a short military career for this Army "Officer"...

Using words such as "imposter" and "usurper," an active-duty Army officer in Iraq has joined a California lawyer's lawsuit intended to force President Barack Obama to prove he is a legal U.S. citizen, and therefore able to legally serve as the commander in chief.

"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office -- an impostor," 1st Lt. Scott R. Easterling states in his letter published at Defendourfreedoms.com.

An Army spokesman told Military.com today that officials are aware of Easterling's letter.

and 15 Rethug MO Reps are now in support as well.

This is pure race hate and with the Rethugs it is a deliberate attempt to wind up the racist wing of their party

10. I have ZERO problem with 40 year old LTs especially IF they are "prior service" -
Edited on Thu Mar-05-09 09:24 AM by ShortnFiery
For example, a number of very talented Enlisted soldiers move into the technical "Warrant Officer" ranks as well as some other Enlisted Soldiers who show promise of leadership can be selected to attend Officers Candidate School.

Older LTs serving in the military are cool by most. However, IMNSHO, this guy found out that it's "HARD, GRUELING WORK" to function as a front line Platoon Leader and is having second thoughts as he reflects on his former "cushy life" as a KBR Contractor Puke.

However, I was "just a baby" of 22 years old when I was Commissioned as a butter bar LT.

14. I love that picture
You don't need to caption it for me to read "Proud Dad" there. It's written all over his face.

Thank you for posting this.

PS, Is it true that in today's more health-conscious army, 2nd Lt's are now called oleo bars?

7. This dumb ass used to work for KBR. Now that he has "a real job" he wants to
score a Discharge from active duty military service. As an Army veteran, I say, "Let him have his discharge ASAP!" I'm open minded and would recommend the particular Discharge entitled Other Than Honorable (OTH), OR punishment under Article 133, Uniform Code of Military Justice: Conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman.

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/punitivearticles/a/mcm133.htm

1) Gentleman. As used in this article, “gentleman” includes both male and female commissioned officers, cadets, and midshipmen.

(2) Nature of offense. Conduct violative of this article is action or behavior in an official capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the person as an officer, seriously compromises the officer’s character as a gentleman, or action or behavior in an unofficial or private capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the officer personally, seriously compromises the person’s standing as an officer. There are certain moral attributes common to the ideal officer and the perfect gentleman, a lack of which is indicated by acts of dishonesty, unfair dealing, indecency, indecorum, lawlessness, injustice, or cruelty. Not everyone is or can be expected to meet unrealistically high moral standards, but there is a limit of tolerance based on customs of the service and military necessity below which the personal standards of an officer, cadet, or midshipman cannot fall without seriously compromising the person’s standing as an officer, cadet, or midshipman or the person’s character as a gentleman. This article prohibits conduct by a commissioned officer, cadet or midshipman which, taking all the circumstances into consideration, is thus compromising. This article includes acts made punishable by any other article, provided these acts amount to conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/justicelawlegislation/l/aadischarge1.htm

OTH Discharges are warranted when the reason for separation is based upon a pattern of behavior that constitutes a significant departure from the conduct expected of members of the Military Services, or when the reason for separation is based upon one or more acts or omissions that constitute a significant departure from the conduct expected of members of the Military Services. Examples of factors that may be considered include the use of force or violence to produce serious bodily injury or death, abuse of a special position of trust, disregard by a superior of customary superior-subordinate relationships, acts or omissions that endanger the security of the United States or the health and welfare of other members of the Military Services, and deliberate acts or omissions that seriously endanger the health and safety of other persons.

Persons awarded an OTH characterization of service: are not entitled to retain their uniforms or wear them home (although they may be furnished civilian clothing at a cost of not more than $50); must accept transportation in kind to their homes; are subject to recoupment of any reenlistment bonus they may have received; are not eligible for notice of discharge to employers (which may affect unemployment benefits); and, do not receive mileage fees from the place of discharge to their home of record.

12. Don't forget article 88
That's a potential Dishonorable right there, too.

And no matter what, KBR will never hire the idiot again becaus OTH discharges are automatic red flags for security clearance.

18. This guy is a disgrace, and deserves to be fired.
With Commissioned officers they are usually asked to resign, his letter of resignation is not in question, it will come. The real question is how soon can this resignation be made possible.
