2. I'll bet she stayed and actually worked
Rather than pop in for a 10 minute photo-op, like someone else I can think of.

3. Brave woman that Michelle.
To wear that ruffled shirt while serving food! :)

I would have had a WHOLE shirt full of food encrusted ruffles by the time I was done.

6. I think she's going to take her inspiration from Eleanor
during her husband's administration. Kudos to her, she's a wonderful first lady.

16. He sure looked dour, didn't he?
But he's probably just following the Secret Service dress code. They probably don't want to fit in--make sure everyone is aware of their presence. If there were any there who were dressed to fit in, we wouldn't know they were SS.

20. she wears clothes more than once
I think she just wears her clothes more than once! Even ball dresses...I read somewhere that she is going to do that. I think it is awesome that she doesn't think she can't be seen out in the same outfit twice. It'll be great when everyone adopts that view!

15. She made people happy and gave comfort to others
What is that wet stuff on my cheek? .... I must have got something in my eye.

A hot meal and a smile from the first lady to those in need w/out any expectation of getting anything back
the lady shows more class in one morning than most show in a whole year.

17. She really makes the most of her free-time hours during the day. She
gets out there and walks the walk. Lovely, generous woman with her priorities straight.

18. Classiest First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt.
I'm not knocking Hillary Clinton - she was great in her own way, albeit somewhat reserved and private as FL. But Michelle Obama not only combines Jackie's elegance and Hillary's smarts, she also has Eleanor's ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Once those kids are grown and Barack has retired from the Presidency, I suspect we might might be looking at the first African American woman President. Hillary came damned close, so I think it could be done.

23. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing. I love #6 and the last one
really shows that she listens to people. Wonderful First Lady, kind and understanding.

The Secret Service guys are really working for their money given the schedules of the President and First Lady. Guess they never worked this hard since President Clinton left office!

25. Michelle Obama is such a wonderful first lady
She could sit in the Whitehouse all day, but she chooses to go out and visit places in DC. I am thrilled that she volunteered at Miriam's Kitchen and I hope she visits other feeding programs for the homeless.
