Obscured by micro-term trading chatter about whether toady's report was 650 or 725, the broader picture with revisions is plain as can be.

Nonfarm payroll employment continued to fall sharply in February (-651,000), and the unemployment rate rose from 7.6 to 8.1 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Payroll employment has declined by 2.6 million in the past 4 months. In February, job losses were large and widespread across nearly all major industry sectors.

1. That would be 2.6 million people who no longer

have enough money to cover the expenses they have. Unemployment just doesn't fill the bill. Not to mention a goodly share of those no longer have health insurance. All are in danger of losing their home, car, and health just to name a few losses.
