Let us see How smart Obama is ...
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 12:26 PM by TheCoxwain

yesterday I posted a thread arguing that we should give some time to Tim Geithner b4 calling for his head ... but I am clearly beginning to see that I am in the minority .. There is brewing discontent that TG is not upto scratch. There is growing Chorus among progressive economist that TG is dragging his feet on Nationalizing the Banks and in too many respects - he is too similiar to Paulson .. Nationalization is something we have to do anyway and there is no point in trying to delay it and placate the shareholders or fear mongers on the right ....

Trust me this is a spark that will soon become a wildfire ... I hope Obama is picking up on changing winds and shifts gears ASAP ... I would hate to see him caught up in a economic conflagration that will seriously undermine his agenda.

If I were religious - I would be praying right now.

3. I would guess that Obama is smarter than most people here
and understands the problems as well or better than most people here.

4. I'd agree, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't question his decisions
when they seem to run counter to what we believe is in our collective best interest.

I've been disappointed with his administration's handling of the economy...from the "bailout bill" to dealing with the banking crisis. I'm not calling for anybody's head yet, but I have serious reservations about the direction we're taking.

5. They haven't even filled the positions of Geithner's deputies and undersecretaries.
This is really, really silly.
