The insurance rep who was engaged in a conversation about health
insurance on Hardball was slicker than boiled okra. That guy is going to do everything he can to throw a wrench into negotiations.

1. Hold your friends close and your enemies closer.
There is no way that a health plan that would be acceptable to the insurance industry and the GOP, could be anything other than a sham. I love Obama's approach but the Republicans know that a meaningful health plan will relegate them to obscurity. I liked what the small business guy said about everyone putting their proposals on the table but that no bill should be no one's second choice. What I really liked about the discussion was the repeated emphasis on the need to solve health care as a key to a functioning economy.

2. I started speaking in tongues when he lied about insurance comapnies paying claims.
I've been a victim of an insurance company that made my life living hell when they cooked up a fake reason to deny my claim stating it was a dreaded preexisting condition. This comapny has a LONG history of such abuse. The crooks belong in jail, not still in the business of cheating sick peope out of health care.

They finally paid my claim after I reported them to the state insurance commissioner, got my state's attorney general involved and threatened a lawsuit. then the condition miraculously was no longer "preexisting". But the company has done this to thousands of people and is still doing it today. Why not? They are NEVER punished for their crimes. Yes crimes. Stealing health care from people is a crime. Letting people die for profit is a crime. I hate those filthy SOBs.
