A reminder: Over $200,000 voters voted for Obama 52% to 46% for McCain

This issue was very transparent in the campaign. Obama said he would raise taxes on over $250,000 incomes and now he is doing it (although he generously is allowing the Bush tax cuts to stay on the books through the end of FY 2010).

The people in this income bracket are likely educated and knew full well what they were getting when they voted. The notion that there is a big groundswell of ferocious opposition to bringing tax rates back to the Clinton years is just a fantasy.
