A letter in the WSJ. I did not read the original op-ed to which the letter writer replies. No need, really

Try More Estrogen, Less Testosterone
Ed Gillespie's "How the GOP Should Approach TARP 2.0" (op-ed, Feb. 23) gives hypothetical examples of conditions that could be imposed on institutions receiving TARP funds. One example is forcing companies to increase the percentage of women in their executive ranks. Mr. Gillespie then goes on to say that such conditions will "set in motion a downward spiral" and these conditions will "amount to a deadly infestation that kills those oaks
slowly over time." I must take both exception and offense. Look at the situation we are in, both as a country and a global community. Look at the mess that testosterone-driven egos and greed have wrought. How I yearn for the day when women become the leaders and are represented in the top ranks according to our percentage of the census. We will lead differently. And the world will be different and better. And this is just what people like Mr. Gillespie are afraid of.
Sad, that in a year of such triumph in electing a president of color, we continue to perpetuate such misogynistic views. But what would I expect from a former counselor to George W. Bush and former chair of the RNC. After eight years of moving backward in women's rights and protections, here's hoping President Obama will lead us in a different direction, with a lot of women in leadership.
