Franken & fuckstick Battle, As Minnesota Awaits A Senator

I think the key to this is the pukes burning fear of getting close to that magic 60 number. It scares me that nearly half of Minnesotans would favor another election. That better not happen!

"As frustrated as they appear to be with the court case, Minnesotans aren't all desperate to have someone go to Washington right away. A recent Rasmussen poll of 500 Minnesotans found that about 46% supported conducting another election altogether. "I think that since this issue landed in front of a panel of three judges it has become increasingly clumsy," says James Crockarell, a Coleman voter. "The election is now in the hands of the court and out of the hands of the people. The fairest thing that speaks to the people is to have a new election."

Nevertheless, election experts say no legal precedent or basis exists for a re-vote in Minnesota law (A re-vote was conducted in a 1974 New Hampshire U.S. Senate race. But the margin was just two votes). Besides, as the state retrenches in the face of a $4.5 billion deficit, another election would be costly, even if feasible. Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says it would cost the state between $3.5 and $5 million. "It's pure fantasy, pure baloney," Ritchie, a Democrat, says.

4. The republican leadership's attitude towards elections is so transparent.
If they win, the election was fair, whatever anyone says. No recounts!

If they lose, there must be a recount.

If they lose the recount, there must be another election so they can try again.

If no other election can occur, then the Supreme Court must decree their candidate the winner, whatever anyone says. And no appeals!

Needless to say, this is all completely un-American and unconstitutional. Duh. We're talking about republicans, not Americans.

2. Another pitiful attempt to derail democracy by criminal Republicans...
They don't want Franken to be able to vote on healthcare or anything else.

3. I feel for Minnesota . They should have a vote in Congress....and then I remember
Voinovich is my Congress person and he votes against the people 100% of the time. Many of us across the country are trapped with no representation. Just sayin'. Peace, Kim
