Multi-Tasking, DVDs and Biceps...Oh My!
President Obama is off to a most impressive start. His 'first 100 days' have been needed, ambitious and successful. And, we are only halfway through them.

After 100 days, the last occupant of the White House had not signed a bill he could claim as his own, and had implemented policies that worked against the American people. He had vacated, rejected environmental protections and secured tax cuts for the uber-rich.

Obama is making BIG changes, and facing huge challenges. His team has been undoing all of the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Dubya that broke this country.

Most importantly, the American People support President Obama and his efforts. We are with him, largely because he talks to us and brings us along. He is spending his political capital very intentionally and effectively. His opposition is withering.

That is why we hear about DVDs, The First Lady's biceps, and the horrors of multi-tasking. The opposition is fracture, scared and being left behind. They can't effectively criticize the policies and he actions of the President, because they have an unreceptive audience. Obama is too smart and too good for them to get a real word in. So, we will hear more about petty and irrelevant topics, while Obama passes important legislation and undoes the damage.

1. It's easier. People and the press are lazy. People here don't want to talk policy...
all that much either. It's about who supports what.

I've been reading the press from the early '30s and it's not a whole lot different.

2. Funny how they criticize him for his alleged "distractions"...
You know...the health and education of the American people. Yet, it's okay for them to distract us with their bullshit, eh?

3. Indeed. People have just got to start ignoring the Sunday chat shows and the Republican Party.
The Republicans had six years of a monopoly on power and completely screwed up the country and a good chunk of the planet with it.

And, as they've shown President Obama - as they did With Prez Clinton - their idea of bipartisanship is doing things their way. Well, they gotta learn to suck on it and like it now. The US citizenry, right now, if far more progressive than the Congress. Time to play rough. Go, 'Bam!
