2. A lot of them. The freeps want to believe that the entire party is conservative but most pukes are
moderate. I know several republicans and not a single one of them is opposed to choice.

5. I'd bet money it's something like 50%, but they're AFRAID of losing political power,
or what political power they have left, which makes them desperate.

The funny thing is, an honest Pro-Life position would support Universal Health Care, complete, appropriate, and free Education, and genuine Economic Justice. That's one way you can tell a Pro-Life-Liar, they're against creating the necessities of Life, i.e. the means by which the living can take responsibility for their own lives.

7. I'd say about 50% and most of them are men. But let their
daughter get pregnant and see what happens. Bet the girl goes to live with a far off relative for a short time.

8. All of them
If the abortion and gay rights issue went away there would be no energy of hate for the righties to go to the polls to do God's work.

14. In the general population or elected officials?
Of the Senators I would think very few for their own family but maybe over 50%, barely. The McCain's of the world just go along because they need the support.

I would think in the House the number would be higher. They can use the same network created by the local mega churches to get their initial state level wins and then can make it to the House based upon the same core supporters.

As for the general population I tend to believe polls are accurate and a sizable minority that is well funded drives the agenda. I do believe that a large percentage, if not a majority, of those hard core supporters would take exception in their personal life if rape/incest/severe genetic issues were involved in a pregnancy of a family member.
