Is the be all/end all of how people manage their money and lifestyles.

12. Seriously? That's pretty pathetic excuse for denying equal rights.
And as for your poll and stats, they are ridiculous. I can't speak for everyone, but most of the women i know are very self reliant, pick up the tab and everything and are also very generous with their money in terms of gifts to the men in their life. Next time you shouldn't take cue on political policy from a random magazine poll.

But if you want to get all stereotypical on the female gender in terms of money, it's a pretty big stereotype that women love to shop and tend to buy higher priced items, while men tend to be more frugal in their spending and rarely buy outside their needs. So in this economic crisis, where the key seems to be getting us all to spend as much money back into commerce as we can, wouldn't it make more sense to give higher wages to women because they are more likely to spend it then men are, thus boost our economy?

Not that I'm yielding to that "women are shop-a-holics" stereotype, but it seems like I need just as flimsy an excuse to counter your magazine poll point.

15. The key is to just not pay for anything. Let your charm and looks do the work.
There are plenty of women out there that are fast and loose with money.

So, yeah, equal work, equal pay.

16. Gee, and to consider that
that difference is real close in percentage terms to the average difference in wages. I wonder what the figures are for spending by men on women for birthdays, for Christmas, on the kids. I mean, actually doing some research rather than speculating.

I think you don't completely understand the difference between cause and effect.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Here, you can use one of these:

1. Obama is not a citizen.

2. The Clinton body count

3. Al Franken is stealing the election in MN

4. The economy was just aces until it became clear either a woman or a black man would be pres.

5. You can see Russia from your basement window.

In a drastically overpopulated world, suggesting big hair for all is tantamount to inviting disaster.

Dammit, H2O Man, there just isn't room!

23. oh, please! i spend more on my boyfriend than he spends on me
because i am trying to help HIM get out of debt (not caused by his spending on me) plus . . . women spend less because they make less! trust me in this, if women made the same $ as men do, they would be happy to pick up the cost of an occasional dinner. :eyes:

sheesh that's totally lame. where's my popcorn.
