I've never been against ear piercings.

Stupid anti-piercers need to get a life!

2. Are they gonna round up every person with a birthmark on their ear?
I've seen these people around, they look normal to me!

4. It's a corporatist attempt to redirect our anger.
It's a whole 2 percent of that latest omnibus bill. While obnoxious and wasteful, it's small-fry.

And that's why it's all over the corporate media - they don't want us grabbing torches and pitchforks for the big fish - the Wall-Street ponzi-schemers who are rolling away with hundreds of billions.

So they get our panties in a bunch over some ketchup-is-a-vegetable project in Podunk, Oklahoma instead.

6. And it isn't necessarily wasteful, either.
Not if is used on an important project -- such as repairing a valuable bridge that needs to be repaired. (As opposed to a "bridge to nowhere.") And not if it helps secure the vote of a blue dog Dem who might otherwise have trouble justifying to his or her constituents why he supported the bill.

7. Because the media told them to. 90% of people asked on the street what they are wouldn't know.
