Poll question: Obama's negative numbers among Republicans are due to...:

CNN has a poll out showing Obama with nearly 60% approval and about 40% not approving. Of those not approving of Obama (who are mostly Republicans), what are their excuses for not liking Obama?

1. It doesn't matter to the right wing
They target people in all the categories you listed in your poll. They know there are racists out there, die hard republicans that believe all the right wing says, and they use the hate, fear, and anger to their advantage. The only good thing is that they are losing a lot of the more moderate conservatives who know that going down this road is not going to work, and that change is what they really need. They are also losing independents in huge numbers, and the middle class is starting to wise up when it comes to believing the crap the republicans are saying. Anyone with half a brain knows who got us into this mess, and it wasn't Obama! They also know that we can't keep on going down the road Bush was taking us, because the riche getting richer while everyone else suffers, isn't the american way!

The good think is that those who are against Obama no matter what are not going to be enough to get republicans back in charge any time soon, and if they don't come up with some kind of a real agenda, it will be a long, long time before they can even hope to start making gains.

2. You nailed it
I have a acquaintance that still thinks the GOP does wonders for small business. He started a small business under Clinton and it folded under Bush.

3. other: "They're Playa Haters"
Which is a new term I learned from Michael Steele. :)

(as it turns out, you dont pronounce that word with a hard "R" it's more of an "a" sounds. apparenlty it's how all the young kids are communicating with one another these days, you know, when they're not rapping)

6. You do have a point. I was assuming they did actually "think"
Surely some Republicans don't like the budget spending like they protested during the Bush administration. Yep, all two of them.

7. Other.. they simply put party before any and everything else--even America.
But I don't think it is working. I don't see droves of people flocking to the republican party. I think their 30% is still their 30%. That 30% would hate Jesus Christ if he were in the White House and a democrat. They will lose even more seats in 2010 because they have no new ideas.

9. It's primarily the "socialism" nonsense.
The main gripe of Republicans over the last 30 years has been their "hard-earned money going to the undeserving." That's the thing that irks them more than anything else.
