"Liberal" media's question of the day: "How much political capital is AIG costing Obama?"
They just keep on asking how much AIG is hurting him, how it will affect his ability to get things done, and how this will affect his "already slipping support." :eyes: But every time the question is asked, to everyone from Chuck Grassley to Chuck Todd, they say they DON'T think it's costing him any capital. Grassley even said he thinks it's giving Obama MORE capital because of the stance he's taking on it.

1. Not much. It's a blip. But it's the FIRST time he's said "No, we can't." It doesn't go down easy.

17. That was the Admin's first reaction to the bonuses.
He's turned that around since.

But first impressions are the important ones. You're dealing with facts. People base opinions on first impressions.

I had 8 years in political polling.

and well it should.

Going along to get along with the Wall Street/Clinton center right crowd- who got everyone into this mess right alongside corrupt Republicans is NOT what most Obama supporters wanted or voted for.

The fact that it served him well for many years is at the present time irrelevant.

Barck Obama is our president now- and we as citizens deserve better- more effective policies than what Larry Summers and his sidekick Tim Gaithner are serving up.

We're not talking about pissy pants here. Barack Obama from what I can tell is a good man but more importantly from the standpoint of analysis- a nobel figure held in high esteem throughout the world.

Things that wouldn't stick to pissy pants will eventually stick to a man like Obama if they're left to fester long enough.

It's a symbolism deal as much as anything.

31. WaPo says it has "depleted" his capital
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29731643/

AIG’s turmoil depletes Obama’s political capital
Anger over bonuses paid to AIG execs blows back on president, initiatives

President Obama's apparent inability to block executive bonuses at insurance giant AIG has dealt a sharp blow to his young administration and is threatening to derail both public and congressional support for his ambitious political agenda.

Politicians in both parties flocked to express outrage over $165 million in bonuses paid out to executives at the company, demanding answers from the president and swamping yesterday's rollout of his efforts to spark lending to small businesses.

Evidently Obama needs to get back in his time machine to April 2008, and then tell AIG not to be stupid and make promises about bonuses they can't keep.

Pat is just a big old biggoted bag of wind whose face looks like it's smelled a few to many of his farts.

But I digress. The agenda of the media is plain to see. Tell me,(not you specifically but anyone), how much time did the "liberal" MSM spend on slamming Republicans for admitting their only goal is to bring Pelosi and the Democrats down and just to obstruct at every turn?

My hope is that the American people woke up to the games in 2006 and again in 2008 and that they continue to be awake and alert to the games being played by the Republicans and the media.
