I want to know who these people are and where the live (I don't need exact addresses just their home towns). I want it so that when they go shopping or to church or to their kids little league teams that their neighbors can point at these assholes and say "SHAME ON YOU, STEALING MY TAX DOLLARS".

Millions of people across this country have faced great humiliation thru no fault of their own. Losing their homes, their life savings and facing the trauma of applying and dealing with government assistance (it's not a fun thing to do - that's for sure). These executives need to feel the humiliation and we need to know who they and go viral with getting their names out there.

That Scarlett Letter thing ain't such a bad idea - give them all giant red "C" for crooks.

1. hell yeah!
and then have people who've been foreclosed on go to their neighborhoods and piss on their front lawns or maybe even sleep there. Maybe even start a fire in their front yard to warm a cup of coffee.

2. All of these financial criminals need to be on a public register ala sex offenders.
If a 16-year old who sleeps with his 15-year old girlfriend warrants that treatment, these shits certainly do.

6. To what are you objecting? Do you think that these "people" should be allowed
to skate through life without consequences?

10. This from WaPo...
AIG declined to comment on Cuomo's letter. But a person familiar with the situation said the company did not want to release the names because of privacy issues and also out of concern for the safety of the individuals. The company has been flooded with phone calls and death threats since news reports over the weekend about the bonuses.

"If you release those names . . . you put those people in harm's way," the person said.

13. Publish their info....
I just signed the petition at moveon.org and sent in my comments and ideas.

I say, first... let these people negotiate or refuse their bonuses and if they do not then threaten to publish their info. Second, start a financial fraudsters watch-list similar to the sex offenders watch-list. Third, we need to know what these contracts say, who put them together, who is in charge of distributing and approving these bonuses.... and if there are requirements to obtain them where is the proof-of-performance? All of this should be overseen by a group of representatives for the taxpayers and made public!

.....Argh....

14. If they are that worried then perhaps they should return the bonus money
Seriously, if my life and the life of my family was dependent on returning a bonus money - hell I'd return it in a heart beat and then apologize to the US Taxpayers for taking this money.

But then again, I actually have a conscience. These fuckers don't

Cuomo letter to B. Frank re: AIG bonuses.

As you may know, my Office yesterday subpoenaed AIG for the names of those
who received these bonuses, and we plan to do everything necessary to
enforce compliance. American taxpayers deserve to know where their money is
going, and AIG's intransigence and desire to obscure who received these
payments should not be tolerated. Already my Office has determined that
some of these bonuses were staggering in size. For example:

But a lengthy stay in a prison cell would sufice with me.

I wonder what would happen to these fine upstanding citizens if they were Chinese?

20. Why?
Because they signed contracts that included bonuses as part of their compensation? That's standard for any high executive at any large company.

AIG has over 200,000 employees worldwide. The people who got these bonuses are exactly 73. The government attorneys were the ones who decided that AIG had no other option than to pay these bonuses to avoid any possible litigation. They even hired outside counsel and they too came to the same conclusion. Furthermore, the government was fully aware that these bonuses existed almost a year ago.

Most AIG employees do not receive bonuses, even on Christmas (surprising for a company of that size). They are just average people trying to make a living. They do not deserve to be harassed. Women at the downtown offices had to be escorted out yesterday because they were afraid to leave the building. AIG had to add extra security to their bldgs. due to the death threats.

The Financial Services people who sunk this once mighty company should be fired, but don't take it out on the rest of the employees.

:-(
