to make Obama look bad. They can't blame him for the stock market slide anymore because it is going up so they are making a deal about when Obama knew about the bonuses. Who cares when he found out. At least he is trying to correct the situation. Bush would have just sat there and said 'so what'.

16. They are trying to get to the people who..
never pay attention to politics and who don't know how it works, that is how they play games in the house and senate. For some people that's all it takes is to keep repeating something over and over like the teleprompter garbage.

They really expect us to believe that the President can't speak without a teleprompter and have the nerve to compare him to Bush saying that he didn't need a prompter for his speeches. Prompter or no prompter Bush couldn't speak worth a damn..

3. It's the first time the admin said "no, we can't" when the topic of stopping the bonuses came up.
And people have reacted.

5. They could've said, Yes, We Can...
Read about the Snowe-Wyden amendment that was stripped out of the ARRA ~ post 8 talks about the Obama team's lack of interest.

4. Definitely
Subtext of ABC's news last night:

AIG bonuses are Obama's fault.

Look at all the money AIG donated to his campaign.

6. If the Bush Administration had been providing some oversight to the banking/financial industry,
none of this would have been necessary. The Bush/GOP "let corporate America police itself" policy is what led this. They were letting an alcoholic guard the liquor cabinet with the key in their pocket, and no one at home for the weekend.

This is a Bush/GOP issue. It always has been, and no matter how much the right wing may try to rewrite history, it's still their mess. The Dems need to frame it that way, and tell America that it's all a political diversion. The GOP got caught with their pants down, that's all there is to it.

I'm sure they were hoping this mess would wait and hit a couple of months after the Dem President took office, then they could blame it all on that person, but their timing was a little off.

14. choreographed outrage..
they sing the tune, and the people are more than happy to dance along. I love the part when the music builds, and the people are in a dizzying manufactured frenzy. And then it's over..and the dancers step over the fallen bodies and go back to the couch.

they can't wait till the magical 100 days or 6 months so they can so call judge him as though they waited in the first place. You haven't seen anything yet this is just the beginning because the repugs hate him and the media loves a food fight and they are afraid because their money is tied up in there somewhere so they have to turn the public against him. Lying dirty bastards..
