CENTRIST DEMS?! Where the HELL were you the last 8 years?
Evan Bayh has coordinated a group of centrist Dems to push back against some of President Obama's budgetary proposals. Wow! So they're here to save the day now that Obama wants to present change. They're here to stop that change. If we needed obstructionists all we need do is look toward the Republicans. Why does Evan Bayh believe we want him to do more obstructing to Dems who actually want to get the people's business done? Did he not read the tea leaves of the election? I don't mind a good debate even among Democrats but come on... we need a Centrist wing to check the 51 vote procedure? They want to set up a roadblock. This is maddening!

Where were these Dems during Bush's reign? After the last 8 years we can take a poll on how many times centrist dems went along with the Bush administration. Some of them are the same ones who got us into this il-be-gotten war in Iraq. Bayh, Lincoln et al... yes we want by-partisanship but not at the expense of the core principles of the ELECTED PRESIDENT'S agenda. This country voted for CHANGE! Not more of what we've had the last 8 years.

Declaration to Centrist Obstructionists: Standing in the way of the full throated change we voted for to watch your fulfill your own presidential ambitions, your power-grab to assert your own out-dated thinking will get you guys a backlash you may not recover from. Progressives and Independents are looking at you and just like the people determined the primary and the presidential election they can just as easily decide your fate if you stand in the way of President Obama.

Centrists, if you want to do the Republican's bidding and obstruct President Obama's bold vision for this country slap the R on your back. If you are a Democrat then wear your credentials proudly and get the hell out of the way and give this President the chance he deserves.

6. They were helping Bush actively destroy this country
Calling us extremists, and asserting that they were the only ones that were "electable".

In other words, undermining us like they always do.

And when we get pissed at them for doing it, then they start howling about party unity and circular firing squads.

I WANT a circular firing squad with these assholes, now....I want them OUT.

DLC asshole then, DLC asshole now. In between, he was fellow DLCer's Hillary's top campaign surrogate (remember he and Bill were
both DLC chairmans).

11. I think something is going on here... I think he went along with Obama
as a show after Clinton didn't get the nomination but that he really was waiting for his chance to assert the Republican side of his face. He is from a primarily red state as are the rest of these centrists. I think they might otherwise be Republicans if it weren't for the backlash against the "R" for the past 8 years.

Once he lost that to Biden, he's been a pisser beyond some lukewarm appearances in Indiana during the GE.

13. DINOS coming out of the closet and calling themselves "centrists" or moderate"...

... to try and avoid being called what they really are and knowing that most people consider themselves moderate no matter where they stand.

Liars and cheats ... good thing there is a score card so we know who to get rid of now that the pubs are on life support.

19. I know there are some groups out there that raise money to bring in
candidates to compete against candidates who take positions familiar to Republicans. Daily Kos did some work like this I think. Anyone remember Lie-ber-man? It didn't work with Lie-ber-man that time but I'm sure it will work today.
