1. I like Dodd, but it's time for him to announce he won't run in 2010
banking chairmanship the past 2+ years, the handling of the pseudo-scandal related to Countrywide, the possible real scandal of his property in Ireland... plus, CT residents are pissed he moved to Iowa for a while in his quixotic bid for the presidency.

11. I think Dodd loses if he does run again.
It'll be close either way, no matter who the repukes run. I think a lot of people just want Dodd out.

12. Who do you like to take his place?
Chris Murphy? John Larson? Rosa DeLauro?

or, go to a state office holder like Blumenthal or Bysiewicz?

Somebody else, like DeStefano or Malloy?

14. Not DeStefano
Not really Malloy either.
I am not sure yet, at this point.

I really like Rosa. I am not sure, though, if she has any interest in the seat.

16. No way any CT Dem
steps up to challenge Dodd... he would have to announce he is not running again.

17. That is true.
Quite a few repukes have announced or stated their intentions, right? I know Simmons did, but I thought a few more did too.

20. Larry Kudlow is rumored to be interested
and, some Republican that claims to have anticipated the financial crisis a few years ago as well (though, he's more a libertarian, I think?)

forgot his name, however.

9. So I guess you believe that gnomes magically removed the no bonus
clause(?)? Or I got a better one for you, Jesus Christ came down from heaven and in the blink of an eye, removed the no bonus clause?

BS. Someone did it, perhaps several people did it or knew about it and said and did nothing. Was it Dodd? Beats me but you'd think that he'd certainly know "something".

3. Someone from Treasury called him, won't name names...
Either had to change the language of his amendment or it would be pulled. Doesn't know who pulled Snowe-Wyden. Hmmmm indeed!

10. you're welcome
It still boggles my mind how far he went yesterday in the lie, absolutely not, blah blah, that loop hole wasn't there when it left my office, blah blah, I had nothing to do with it, blah blah.

I liked Dodd, but this disappoints me.

13. What the fuck is going on?
Which one is the truth? Did he, or did he not, remove the bonuses clause? It obviously can't be both.

18. Yes, he removed them AFTER some calls from Treasury suggesting...
...that if he didn't remove them the whole amendment would have to be pulled.

(He didn't say who called.)
