The Civil War was about 5 years long...

The Great Depression was 10-12 years long...

To think this is going to be resolved in 1 or even 2 years and without a few missteps is not realistic.

2. Indeed.
Let things flow. Frankly, I like it better having folks who had negotiated contracts in good faith (with bonus provisions), got paid under these bonus provisions, then gave the money back.

I think we should hire these folks into the Treasury Department (if they could afford it).

6. The Civil War was 4 years long - almost to the day.
beginning April 12, 1861 when Fort Sumter was fired on and ending at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.
