2. He was saying his bowling was a special olympics moment
but it didn't quite come out that way.

(Jay was asking about them using the WH bowling alley)

6. What a nasty thing to say.... I'm shocked, dare I say horrified that
such a seemingly well meaning individual could offer up such a comment. Someone pass me the smelling salts... or the popcorn.

10. Not nasty, just awkward
There was no malicious intent. He was more making fun of himself.

Oh, and pass the popcorn.

4. He said that the Special Olympics killed baby bunnies and watched child porn.
Something like that.

Seriously, Google, it's everywhere.

8. He was making a self-depreciating joke about his own bowling skill, but
I believe he quickly came to view it as a friendly fire joke that might hurt the feelings of the very people he cared deeply about.

Had it been Deadeye Dick, I have no doubt an apology would have been expected from the Special Olympics Contestants and or their families for getting in the way of his joke.

In short, I view his apology as a testament to President Obama's grace and empathy; a sign of strength and courage, something of which has been sorely lacking the past eight years.

11. It was lost in applause- blink and you miss it
Maybe 24 minutes into a 29 minute spot

I think it got drudged and APd

http://www.nbc.com/The_Tonight_Show_with_Jay_Leno/video/clips/president-obama-full-interview-319/1067541/?__cid=nbceditorial

Leno, LENO ended it with a "Mr President this has been one of the greatest nights of my life!"

Obama ROCKED it!

I don't even watch Lenos namby pamby cheap democrat slams. Letterman is more my style if I happen to insomnia upon the late night. Letterman is meaner but the laughs go deeper. Loved how he slammed mcgrumpy.
