Dodd's getting heat at home for his coddling of wall street failures ....
... and I say good! I hope his election campaign is extremely difficult and costly.

3. I agree it's all smoke and mirrors -- we need to flush them all from the system

4. If he'd been forthright about his provision in the first place
instead of acting like a scared rabbit and trying to place blame on the Treasury, he wouldn't have had to "come clean." I don't give a shit what the Treasury suggested, Dodd is the legislator. The Treasury can make suggestions -- and there is nothing wrong with that -- but if a Senator lets himself change a bill in a way he doesn't agree with, that says more about him than anyone else

Dodd should take responsibility for his won actions and stop trying to pass the buck. Obama has taken responsibility, Geithner has taken responsibility and Dodd is still deflecting.

5. He claims he didn't understand the change he was making, which is hardly better IMO
He should own his actions.

6. Yeah its gonna be great to get a Republican Senator to add to Loserman...yeah its great
"Forcing" out Dodd the corpratist will just give us Simmons. I live in CT and would vote for Dodd in a heartbeat over him. Dodd might not retire so then it would Dodd vs. Simmons. Simmons may be a moderate Repub but that is better then Dodd???

9. That would be nice if Dodd would retire. Like I said he probably won't.

Lamont has also said he has no plans on running again and Dick Blumenthal (CT AG) would also be great but I want him to run against Lieberman.

10. Well, I don't want a republican either, but there must be others in the state ...
... that can challenge Dodd in the primaries

12. Are you from CT? I really doubt anyone would challenge Dodd.
Its a small state and Dodd still has a chance against a Repub. I wish he would just retire and let someone like Chris Murphy, one of our young Reps run.

13. I'm not but I would contribute to a primary challenger like I did for Lamont.
we'll see how badly this financial coddling hurts him. Maybe it won't.
