Perfect Solution for the Zombie Bank CEO Bonus Situation...
Give them the bonuses.

No, really.

Put all of the funds into a controlled account, and only disburse the funds when the taxpayers have been made whole. Meaning, the execs get their bonuses when their companies have paid back the bailout loans in full. Until then, ZERO bonuses.

Not only do we achieve the obvious and not enrich the rich with taxpayer resources, we give them STRONG incentive to do something in OUR best interests for a change.

2. ROFLMAO! I like that idea a lot.
However, the OPs idea is far more humane. :fistbump:

3. I vote for the "throw them in jail" option
and then seize all their assets in civil court.

4. What does DU think? I think this is a REALLY good idea
If the execs get their bonuses under this plan, then no one would argue that they didn't deserve them. Bonuses paid out with these terms are truly EARNED.

And we can stop listening to this stupid "but the US Gov't shouldn't engage in abrogation of legal contracts" rationalization.

Tell your local Congressman, Senator, whoever -- this is best answer to this problem for sure.
