The asshole media criticizing him, however, would be in deep doo-doo.

I immediately call for every single talking head who has made this a talking point to repudiate their own personal use AS OF TODAY.

This ia a FAKE, MANUFACTURED, PHONY ISSUE

manufactured by fake phonies with issues.

1. I've got to get one of those magic teleprompters.
Like the one Obama used to give seamless, thoughtful answers to questions the talking heads read from their own cue cards.

3. Amen. Rachel Maddow was playing some old Bush clips tonite
of Bush continuously attempting to redefine the war on terrah -- man, it was even more painful and depressingly stupifying in retrospect to realize he still got votes in 2004.

5. They are desperate to get his approval numbers down.
It's amusing to watch how low they'll go in their futile attempts to do so.

God, they must loathe themselves.

7. They hate people who know what they are talking about.
I have seen both Bill and Hillary, in person, speak without notes for over an hour, and sound quite competent.

8. Exactly!
He can speak extemporanously and at length without a teleprompter. Dubya couldn't do it without an earpiece.

9. I don't understand the issue at all. Do they think Obama is reading someone else's words?
Do people feel that reading his statement rather than speaking from memory changes the meaning? Is a message less valid when a a teleprompter is used?

I assume that everyone knows that presidential speeches are not extemporaneous. Presidents have speech writers, the speeches get edited, they practice the speech and even get some coaching on where to place emphasis. This is common knowledge. If anything, the use of a teleprompter to deliver a pre-planned speech is very shrewd because less time will be spent just reciting it over and over again. More time to focus on other important things? I don't see a problem.
