Did anyone at MSNBC watch Obama's entire town hall? They cut away before he took questions from the
"in-house" audience and all they've said about it so far is that Obama seemed comfortable doing it, but it was kind of easier than a regular press conference since the questions were all pre-selected from questions asked on his website. They never said ANYTHING about him taking questions from people in their live audience. Do they even KNOW?

1. Dunno; CSpan 3 had it
until Geithner hearing before Frank's committee resumed. You'll prolly read about marijuana.

2. Yeah-even THEY cut away...
I watched the rest online. But I still wonder if MSNBC knows Obama took questions from people in the room.

3. One thing I noticed.
All the participants were asking relatively intelligent questions about real issues which We the People are facing...

Compare this with Tuesday's press conference, where the "professional" journalists were asking nasty, loaded, gotcha questions and playing the usual kabuki theater game.

4. True. But now so many are caught up on one question which was
the marijuana question. I was signing up my daughter for kindergarten and missed it. :(

5. I missed that question.
I'm under the impression that President Obama declined to express support for legalizing marijuana...

7. He brought it up as an internet question that was popular...
and he said he did NOT think decriminalizing marijuana would help the economy.

8. Even if it doesn't have an economic benefit, I'm for it.
I'm sick of Rethug authoritarian War-On-Drugs policy. Addiction should be treated as a medical problem instead, and the .gov should get out of the business of telling us what substances we're allowed to ingest in our own bodies.

Now the industrial hemp industry... That would help our economy a bit.

6. True...
but the media didn't focus on those "trivial" things. They were more worried about him knowing he had time to look at the online questions in advance.
