I saw Dr. Dean on CNBC
I was reading in another room and for the heck of it turned on the TV for a few minutes. Switched on CNBC as part of my so-far fruitless search to find Dr. Dean, and by golly, there he was, at 9:30 or so pm, ET, on a program called "Restoring Trust."

I don't know if this is a regular gig or not, but in case someone else is looking for him, I think he may be on again before the hour is over.

If he's not, sorry about that. Going back to the other room....

9. People here do not care for him? I did not know that.
Learn something new every day...thank you for that.

But I am shocked, simply shocked, that anybody with the word "progressive" in his or her nick isn't a Howard Dean fan. He is the father of "Progressive" as far as I am concerned..

But getting back to the presidential part of it, all of the guests on the program (Restoring Trust) were asked what advice they would give Pres. OBama, and Gov. Dean said that he should make sure that a public option was available with the health plan and to keep his foot on accelerator till it's done.

What I was trying to get at is that a lot of people in this forum are hostile to Dr. Dean because this is basically GD:DLC.

11. I love you FLAprogressive, and am sorry for the misunderstanding
I HATE the DLC and want them to get their clutches out of MY President Obama. He's smart enough to know what they're like so I don't think that they will pull any fast ones on him, maybe it'll go the other way around. Michelle is sharp too, and a mighty mighty fine person, and they won't hoodwink her.

Thank you for explaining to me. Am old and sometimes stuff goes right over my gray head.

13. Oh, c'mon. I voted for Hillary in the primary and people would love to tar and feather me as a DLCer
but I love Dr. Dean.

And, to date, since the inauguration, I've been one of the best supporters of President Obama on these boards.

So take your silly labels and stereotypes somewhere else... doesn't fit in so well here!

"Howard Dean To Become Regular CNBC Contributor" (VIDEO)
www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/23/howard-dean-to-become-reg_...
sent by partynut since 2 days 23 hours 47 minutes

Former DNC Chair Howard Dean will become a regular contributor for the business news network CNBC, a source close to the former Vermont Governor confirms. Dean started his new gig on Monday morning with a guest-hosting appearance on the station. The move comes at a time when CNBC is under intense pressure to change its format and criticism for its failures to report or foresee much of today's economic crisis. In this regard, Dean -- who worked on Wall Street after graduating college and has family ties to the financial sector, but has nevertheless been an early critic of the business practices that contributed to the current recession -- should be a refreshing presence, particularly for progressive economists. But the decision to bring the recently departed DNC Chair on board, the source says, was finalized well before the current wave of CNBC-angst. ~~~~~ "I'm going to be neutral between Jon Stewart -- who I'm enormously fond of -- and Cramer," Dean told Politico. "I like CNBC because I can offer them a different perspective that they would find useful."

6. Thanks for your post..
I knew he was on, but didn't know what program. Have been catching bits of him on MSNBC now and then.

So I guess "Restoring Trust" is the show to watch for.

8. What a gift from the Universe for
Dean to be on a regular show and cnbc of all places. Jon Stewart is pleased, too, no doubt.
