1. My position was that a surge in Limbaugh ratings is a GOOD thing as well.

Some of the people who did not like the "attack Rush" strategy kept bringing this up as a negative- I agree with your article that it was part of the plan.

We WANT Rush to remain popular with conservatives- we WANT Rush to continue to be the face of their party.

The more popular & influential Rush remains with conservatives, the less popular conservatives will be with moderates.

In any event, the "surge" will be temporary.
