Obama's Unfortunate Mistake
Obama should have continued the Bush smoke and mirrors policy of separating the "wars" from the general budget. He underestimates how ignorant the American people are.

Only a handful have paid attention enough to realize and understand that he has put them together in one budget. The rest of the "folks" are easy pickings for the GOP. They believe that this massive budget is "good old" Dem "tax and spend" and the money must be going to welfare queens and the like.

Apparently the Obama folks have started to realize this and are trying to hide some things but the train already blew out of the station at high speed. He thought the American people actually had some intelligence; and, so, he inadvertently gave the Repukes their "come back" platform.

1. you want success through deception and misdirection?
you want our president to lie to us on simple things like the budget?

THIS IS HOW we can start to trust our government again?

What ever it is that you are smoking, please pass it here.

3. "Restoring Trust" in the government really worked for Jimmy Carter.
Face it, the American people are very stupid. It's time our party started acting like it.

5. There is the problem. How to get the stupids to vote for us without becoming stupid ourselves.

6. Unfortunately...
there is a difference of being honest with the people and people who are too stupid to know what is going on, honest or not! They don't know and, thus, they are listening to idiots like Limbaugh, the Fox crowd, and every slimey Repuke who lies their way through interviews and is delighted that even some of the morons of the press corps don't know the facts!! Even honesty can't cure "dumb".

2. And if Pres Obama hid the war costs, I could just hear the 'ihateobama' crowd
going on about 'change we can believe in'. Why give them any more ammo for their hate guns?

7. I suggest "Taxation and Budgets for Dummies" for their next town halls
if they don't already have something similar in the works.

In the interest of tact, it's one thing to say that you believe the American people "get it", but you don't want to give too much intellectual credit to an electorate that made it close enough for Bush to steal twice and gave McCain/Palin nearly 50 million votes.

8. I thought you wanted change from Bush? and its hard to use the tax and spend
when Obama is the one who cut taxes on the middle class and the Repukes voted against the largest middle tax cut in history
