...is one of those stupid all-purpose "post a petition here" sites.

Orly Taitz - a batshit insane dentist/lawyer who is behind much of the "Obama is not a natural born citizen" legal nonsense, posted a petition there in support of this bizarre notion that "citizen grand juries" can indict the president for whatever.

It seems that she has gotten some unexpected results, as most of the names are fictitious (many of the usual suspects such as Heywood Jablome have checked in), and the commentary is side-splitting.

Unfortunately, there seems to be some kind of hair trigger mentality here that does not understand the comic relief that only the truly insane (and the quite sane having fun with them) can provide.

I gather you mistook it for an imperative statement instead of a descriptive noun phrase. "It" is a petition to indict the president.

Because I believe the "creative contributions" that have been made to the signatures helps to render the exercise to be a self-parody, even to those who may be referred to it in earnest from places other than the sort of place that DU is.

The "batshit crazy dentist" is now stalking Supreme Court Justices at public appearances and trying to present her "dossiers" of information, including wingnut petitions like this one, to them in person. Her and her followers bear some watching and some monkey-wrenching.
