A Call for our own round of Obama House Parties!
Don't get me wrong, I worked my butt off for Obama and I respect the man but we need to make sure that he is hearing the message of the people. I suggest we use his network of community organizers to host House Parties across this nation to show him that the people do have the power! We may not have the time or the money to drive to DC every time an important issue comes up but we can use the neighbor to neighbor system to make sure that the message gets out. It's in place folks, we helped build it and it is ours if we want it! Peace, Kim

1. We do that in my C.D.
The network from last year remains, we've got cooperative email groups and have had two house parties.

What many don't understand, it seems, is that this always was and remains a "bottom-up" program.

I've heard folks say, "I want to ______, but the Obama network won't_______".

Well, we ARE the network, if anyone wants to organize, they need to do it, the rest of the people will respond.

It's the one exception to the "too many cooks" saw; we're all cooks!

3. Best thread of the day..
... doesn't even matter that it's only 12pm. Constructive ideas are always better than destructive criticism.

5. Thanks for that!
I think we could really make something out of an already successful idea. When I hear Obama speak I take ownership in the fact that it was hard work and millions of ten dollar donations that got him where he is. If not for the hard work of so many, we would be speaking about President McCain (shudder to think of it) or President Hillary Clinton. The fact is that we can still use this wonderful network to voice our opinions. I'm just wondering how this would best be accomplished. Peace, kim
