Did anyone see Shuster right now?
Edited on Tue Mar-31-09 05:59 PM by mecherosegarden
He was just calling on the Secret Service to better be paying attention to what this crazy Michelle Bachmann was saying on the radio about " people should get armed and dangerous" against the policies of the President of the United States. ! I am sorry, I don't have the link but it was just on MSNBC 1600 Pennsylvania AV.

5. I heard it and Shuster is correct.
There is a small but growing fringe right wing movement advocating violent revolution. When a couple of these nut cases advocated by the likes of Glen Beck, Chuck Norris, and Bachmann commit violence, the leaders of the movement need to be actually surrounded by the the FBI and Secret Service. Lets hope Agent Mike does his job.

6. Interesting article on this in Daily Kos
The Impending Perfect Wingnut Hate Storm

We've all seen the warning signs and heard the angry cries from Wingnuttia - but it's time to stop laughing and recognize a very real threat that faces this nation.

This week a report detailing at least 60 Post-9/11 plots of violence by Militant Right-Wing Militia and Birther groups was spiked in Missouri under the argument that sharing the information with Officers in the field would have been Political Profiling!

In Knoxville Tennessee it was shown that a mass-murderer, James Adkisson, - inspired directly by writings of Fox News Contributor Bernard Goldberg, as well as the rantings of Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter - perpetrated a deliberate Hate-Crime (i.e. Terrorism) against Liberals.

Yet, the mainstream media ignores the report of an attempted Right-Wing Dirty Bomber in Maine.

-----

What is likely to happen if and when radical anti-abortionists like Keyes (or Eric Rudolph the Olympic Park Bomber), join their ideology with that of the Birthers, the Sovereigns who are trying to make their own-currency and secede (Palin-style) from America, the anti-immigrant Minute-Men who've begun to be infiltrated by Nativist Extremist, with the 2nd Amendment-ers, and perhaps the most deluded of all - the End-Timers?

How long before all this "Revolution" talk goes from inspiring single persons, to organized groups?

12. I have met the nut cases in Missouri and can readily testify to the danger.
If the Manson family is capable of interpreting Helter Skelter as a call for a race war (which it was not), these groups are easily swayed by those calling for violence against the Government suggested by Beck and others.

When an incident does happen arrests are made, outrage expressed, those who are suggesting violence will change their tune. Beck will say he is only advocating family values in defending himself against sedition (I hope he cries). The CSA members in Missouri and the Identity Christian movement are adept at denying any real involvement in crime or that they supported Timothy McVeigh (Missouri Identity Christians). Make no mistake the Militia fringe is interconnected one of the reasons Palin struck a chord in Southwest Missouri. Some find Beck and his crying jags amusing and categorize him as a buffoon. Beck and the Fox News crew are dangerous and they are playing a dangerous game under free speech. Amazing how the Constitution is used by those who trample on it at every opportunity.

Frightening.
