1. Poor, poor Mrs. Brown....
.... and she was looking so fabulous just two minutes previous.

Ok, now! On to the important matter! WHAT was Carla wearing!!! I missed her!

6. Carla stayed home.
She knows when she's been beaten. ;)

To be honest, Mrs. Brown's jacket is quite striking, much better than the head-to-toe navy blue she wore this morning.

11. Chicken!!!!
No, I like Mrs. Brown's jacket ... that was just my point, she looked AWESOME .... until the cool kids showed up.

Truth be told, my favorite was either the Prime Miniser of Japan's wife or the Russian President's wife (I think they were the Russians anyway, the gold lame suit.)

I should have read the post more closely.

Yes, the gold lame was bold.

25. Media says Carla is not in attendance.
The reports said, seriously, that she's very PR savvy and knew she would pale in comparison to Michelle, so she stayed home.

29. But doesn't it look worse that she stayed home?
I know, I know, people are starting in the streets and men are dying in war .... it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

31. I think so. And anyway, she's 99 percent better looking and more stylish
than any of the other G20 wives, with the exception of Michelle. They're all so frumpy. I'm still trying to disgest the fact that Sarah Brown chose to wear a navy shirt with a navy skirt with navy stockings and black shoes. Talk about dark and dour! Yikes.

Carla could show up in a tacky jean skirt and still look more stylish than most of the other women.

I believe Michelle will be meeting her tomorrow(?) in France so the stylists can square off! lol

15. Shit like that
would go over our heads here in the UK. If its sunny amd mild then wear a sleeveless dress - make sense.

I don't mean me - I'm a bloke......lol.

22. My biggest shock is that London in April is warm enough for sleeveless!
I spent 5 bone-chilling cold winters in London, and just when we thought we'd thaw out for spring, we tended to be deluged with freezing rain.

Of course, that was in the 70s. Must be global warming.

PS: Since Number 10 is so close to Lambeth, I wonder if Gordon Brown took the Obama's for a ride on the London Eye(sore). It would be good payback for those DVDs Brown was given when he was here!

23. Was a bit chilly in the wind
last weekend but its turned mild again since then - almost tee shirt weather again today and forecaser is for even warmer tomorrow and still sunny.

The Eye is good for giving visitors to the UK a reasonably good aerial view across London. The O's wouldn't go on that - would take too long.

3. I'm digging the bit of frilly crinoline peaking out from under the dress.
I noticed it in the picks with the Queen too and thought it was quite pretty...and daring. A nice, conservative outfit, with a little bit of boldness.

Excellent.

Those satin pumps are gorgeous too.

26. I never realized before that Michelle's eyebrows are totally gone.
This is not a dig. I love Michelle and think she is a beautiful and terrific First Lady. But are her eyebrows totally missing? Is that a new fashion trend?

27. Hmmm...
I think they're barely there. Like they're really thinned out. She might have done it because it's easier to shape them when they're growing in as opposed to when they're already on her face. I'm just guessing.

When I finally got rid of my "yeti brows" a few years back, my sister plucked/VEETed out the edges, which refused to cooperate any other way, and drew them in with pencil until they started growing back, at which point she shaped my eyebrows as the hairs came in.

It's kind of silly, actually, but it is a trend.
