Harper misses G20 group photo, was 'in the loo' ROFL
Edited on Thu Apr-02-09 09:28 AM by Spazito
This is too, too hilarious! Harper is such a stuffed shirt, this HAS to hurt!

"Forget the economy, the big question Thursday at the G20 summit is: Where was Prime Minister Stephen Harper for the group photo?

Was he really, as his staff claims, being briefed by his officials on the draft G20 communique?

Or was he de-briefing himself "in the loo?" as first reported by the BBC.

Because Harper missed the group picture, the whole routine had to be restaged about an hour later."

more, oh so much more

It looks like our little Stevie has learned well from his mentor, bush.

Edited to add link to video clip from Canadian news, it's hilarious:

10. Makes me kind of miss Bush.
You could always count on Bush being a clown. At least Bush was good for something. That is about it.

2. I get the same feeling about him that I did when I saw Bush.

He has no f****ing clue what's going on around him. I don't think this will play well in Canada.

5. He actually wasn't. It's sad this kind of crap gets peddled as "news".
Just make some idiotic crap up, put it on teevee, and voila! Instant "funneh" intead of news.

Hurray.

6. Well, it seems his "officials" did tell BBC that is exactly where he was...
it was only after harper threw a temper tantrum that those same "officials" ran hither and yon to many media outlets to try and 'correct' it and say he was being briefed.

It is funny but it is also news. Every event is strictly scheduled and for harper to cause a re-do photo op because of a no-show, whatever the reason, is a valid news report, imo.

8. Well we'll have to agree to disagree on that.
There were two re-dos, by the way. I guess the other one wasn't as news-worthy.

11. I would agree it is not earth-shattering as far as news goes but...
our Canadian politics are very, very, very................................very, very boring normally so this, especially given it is harper, is delicious and so reminiscent of bush.

On that other re-do, the second re-take, I wonder if harper's kidney's sent a secret message to Berlusconi's kidneys, lol, just joking.
